Guangdong Museum of Art, China
28 September to 16 December 2012
Curated by Jonathan Watkins and Jiang Jiehong.
This large scale, room sized installation was made specifically for the Trienniale and fabricated entirely onsite. The steel and mirror structures were covered with a layer of airdrying clay which was squeezed and pressed over the whole piece by myself and a small team of female assistants. This touched surface was subsequently partially silver leafed, becoming a seductive territory for the smaller ceramic and glass pieces and in turn the audience.
